Who we are

This is the private team site of the 2035 Snow Leopards, a youth lacrosse team. It is run by the team’s coaches and parent volunteers for the team’s own families. It is not a business and has no advertisers.

What we keep

Only what the team needs to run:

• Your account: your name, email, username and password. The password is stored scrambled, never in a form anyone can read.
• Your family: which player on the roster you are linked to.
• About players: name, jersey number, a roster photo, evaluations and practice or game clips. Coaches and team moms add these. Players do not have accounts.
• What you add: photos and videos you send, comments, poll votes, what you sign up to bring, and Lost and Found posts.
• Your settings: which notifications you want, and if you turn on notifications, a token that lets us reach this phone.
• Keeping it working: a sign-in cookie, and reports of errors when a page breaks. We use no advertising, no analytics trackers and no cookies from anyone else.

How it is used

To run the team: the schedule, film from the coaches, sign-up sheets, photos, polls and messages. We never sell it, rent it or use it for advertising, and we don’t share it with anyone outside the team except the services below that host the site for us.

Who can see what

• Every family on the team sees the roster (names and numbers), the schedule, the Team Board, and the photos the team moms add to Team Photos.
• Only your family and the coaches see your daughter’s evaluations and the clips coaches post for her.
• Coaches and team moms see the photos and videos you send before they choose any for the team’s gallery or social media, and see contact details so they can reach you.
• Photos and film are stored privately. They are only shown to signed-in team members, through links that expire.

Services that host the site

These companies run parts of the site for us and handle data only to do that:

• Supabase: the database, sign-in and file storage.
• Netlify: hosting the site.
• Resend sends the team’s emails; Zoho hosts the team inbox.
• OneSignal: push notifications, if you turn them on.
• Sentry: error reports when a page breaks. Text on screen is masked and photos and videos are never included.
• Cloudflare: a check at sign-in that you are a person, not a bot.
• Have I Been Pwned: when you choose a password, we check it hasn’t leaked in a known breach. Only the first five characters of a scrambled version are sent, never the password.
• TeamSnap is where the schedule comes from. We read the team’s schedule from it and send it nothing about you. Weather and field maps use Open-Meteo and OpenStreetMap with the field’s address only.

Children

Accounts are for parents, coaches and team moms. The site is not meant for children to use, and players are not given accounts. What it holds about players is added by their coaches and parents, for the team.

How long it is kept, and deleting it

Your account and what you added are kept while you have an account. You can delete your account yourself at any time under Account, then Delete account. That removes your sign-in, settings, and the photos, videos, comments, votes and posts you added, straight away. Daily backups roll off within 7 days.

A player’s record (her roster entry, evaluations and the coaches’ film) belongs to the team while she is on it. To have it removed, or to ask for a copy of anything we hold about you or your child, email coaches@snowleopardslax.com.

Community rules

This is a team space for families and kids. No offensive, harassing or bullying posts, no one else’s private information, nothing off-topic. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members: anything can be reported from its … menu, an admin reviews every report within a day and removes what breaks these rules, and anyone who keeps breaking them loses their account. You can also block any member so you no longer see what they post.

Your choices

Choose which emails and notifications you get under Account. Notifications on a phone can also be turned off in the phone’s own settings. You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
